Skinworks has been in operation since 1995, and has a dedicated staff with several years of experience in the industry. Our instructors are also working professionals, which allows our students several opportunities with networking, real world experience, and the benefit of learning different techniques from alternating instructors.

Mikell A. Mednick Licensed Master Esthetician and Esthetics Instructor Mikell’s background started in the medical field in 2002 and became strong in the skincare industry in 2008. Her experience lies with gaining a strong personal clientele, running her own skincare/waxing business, and working for a resort spa based on mind, body, and soul. Her motivation to keep current in this industry has led her to attending several continuous education seminars, as well as her own ongoing research. “My main goal as an instructor is to emphasize a hands-on experience for my students, and to always stay consistent and motivational.” |

Ashley Jensen Licensed Master Esthetician and Esthetics Instructor Ashley has been a licensed master esthetician since 2008. She loves the entire esthetics industry, but really found her niche in waxing! Ashley landed a job as a waxing guru at a prestigious waxing studio in the Salt Lake area. Her passion for yoga inspired her to get her yoga instructing certification which reflects in her teaching style. She has a strong desire to make people beautiful from the inside out. Ashley loves teaching people new things and inquiring minds! Her love for teaching and esthetics has been a huge asset to Skinworks! |

Joanna Y. Wojtanowicz Licensed Master Esthetician and Esthetics Instructor Joanna joined the field of esthetics in hopes of fixing her own skin. She began to have severe acne at the age of eleven, which carried on with her well into her twenties. She specializes with acneic skin and intends to share her success with others. Joanna graduated from Skinworks in 2007 then moved to Las Vegas where she picked up on some tricks of the trade with speedy waxing. On the return, she acquired a position with a distinguished salon in the Salt Lake area, where she worked from 2008-2011. She is now enthusiastic to pass on all she has learned to the soon-to-be estheticians of today! |

Stephanie Williams Licensed Master Esthetician and Esthetics Instructor Stephanie Williams is a passionate individual who greatly enjoys esthetics. Her expertise in design and organization have been utilized in developing floor plans, protocols, hand selecting skin care lines, and managing employees within an elite medical spa. Stephanie’s artistic and creative abilities shine with her personal experience in make-up artistry, where she is involved in fashion shoots and movie sets. Her passionate nature and inspiring knowledge of entrepreneurship in esthetics gives Skinwork’s students the drive to lead in the esthetic industry. |

Briana Johnson Licensed Master Esthetician and Esthetics Instructor Briana Johnson graduated as a Master Esthetician from Skinworks in 2007 then went on to work as the head instructor at a prestigious spa until December 2009. Some of her specialties include waxing, chemical exfoliation and her product knowledge. Briana joined our staff in January 2010 as our spa instructor. She enjoys this position, not only because she gets to educate the students, but also so she can assure our clients receive an outstanding experience. |

Alicia Brown Licensed Master Esthetician and Esthetics Instructor Alicia has been involved with makeup and skincare since 1997. She has worked for Aveda as a skin care and makeup educator, traveling between nine states, and participated in research and development. She is currently doing freelance makeup for various make-up lines, while working at a prominent medical spa, which specializes in laser hair removal, chemical peels, and acne. “As a survivor of acne, I am thrilled to be a part of educating new estheticians who will in turn be a part of changing lives, boosting self esteem, and expanding this wonderful and opportunistic industry.” Alicia is passionate about Ayruveda techniques, as well as teaching marketing and business ethics. |

Elizabeth Bandley Licensed Master Esthetician and Instructor Elizabeth has been in the esthetics industry since 2001 and brings Skinworks years of experience and hands-on instruction. Her background as a project manager and website marketer for a local skin care company, Elizabeth has acquired familiarity with over 70 skin care product lines and their ingredients. She has come to take great joy in matching fine ingredients with the right skin type, sending her clients away with confidence and faith in their esthetician. Having the experience of running her own microdermabrasion business out of California and Arizona, Elizabeth brings more than just her esthetic skills to Skinworks but also business savvy within the skin care market. Because of her desire to enhance her ability as an instructor and remain on the cutting edge of the field of esthetics, Elizabeth has completed several continuing education courses and persistently pursues further learning. |

Rachael Sweeten Licensed Master Esthetician and Instructor Rachael is a Master Esthetician and educator with over 25 years experience in the natural products industry, with emphasis on nutrition and product formulation. Her extensive experience in Metaphysics and Holistic Healing modalities bring a unique healing touch and a “body, mind, & spirit” perspective to the field of esthetics. Rachael also has strong practical skills in Corporate Management, Manufacturing, Retailing, Education, and P.R./Marketing. She has also served as a specialty instructor for the massage industry, Triolite foundation, and Hospice of Utah, the Junior League, and the Ogden Nature Center. You will also hear Rachael as frequent guest of talk radio. |

Crystal Kate Bonner Licensed Master Esthetician, Instructor, and Massage Therapist Crystal is a dedicated and compassionate person who thoroughly enjoys sharing and relaying her personal experience in the field of esthetics. She first started in the medical environment, receiving her CNA and EMT certificates in 2005. She soon went after her dream, pursuing a career in esthetics and massage, receiving her Master Esthetician, Esthetics Instructor, and Massage Therapist licensures. Crystal has been an instructor with SkinWorks since 2009 and is currently working at a reputable day spa. Her well-rounded knowledge in the medical, massage, and esthetics field has made her an amazing asset to SkinWorks and its students. She is constantly keeping up with the latest treatments and products, giving her students an extensive and up to date education in the esthetics industry. |

Natalie Parkin School Director Natalie Parkin has owned Skinworks School of Advanced Skincare since 2005, Skinworks was established in 1995 as a stand alone Esthetics school, located in Salt Lake City, UT. She brings her professional background from Enterprise Corporate Sales to the growing industry of Esthetics. After success in the IT world Natalie’s vision was set on helping others succeed. Her greatest enjoyment is watching her students grow and seeing them become amazing business driven Estheticians. Being a skincare survivor herself, she has always had her hands in Esthetics. She brings professionalism, organization, and the much needed personal support to her students. Natalie is currently the President of the Utah Beauty School Owners Association and is active in lobbying for the Cosmetology Industry in Utah. Natalie also sits on the ASCP National Skin Care Schools Council Leadership Board. |

Stephanie Johnson Financial Aid Advisor Stephanie Johnson has been working for Skinworks since January of 2009. She started with Skinworks as the front desk coordinator. Through her experiences, she learned the administration side of the school. After her hard work, and customer service skills, she was advanced to the Financial Aid Department. She has been in Financial Aid since January 2010. |
